Air Fryer Fries
The easiest, crispiest, most delicious homemade fries!
Ingredients:
Russet Potatoes (one large potato=one serving)
Salt
Procedure:
Peel and slice desired amount of potatoes into circles and then cut each circle into fries.
Allow potatoes to soak in cold water for at least 20 minutes to release starch (This is a very important step. The release of starch will allow for more crispy fries)
Remove potatoes and cut into long french fry pieces
Pat down potatoes with a cloth and try and get them as dry as possible
Pre heat air fryer to the “French Fry” setting. If you do not have this setting, preheat to 380 F
Place potatoes into the air fryer basket and season with salt
Using a sunflower oil non-stick spray OR regular oil, spray/drizzle oil on the fries and give the basket a good shake. This is to ensure that they do not stick to the bottom of the basket nor to each other.
After 10 minutes or so, pause the fryer and remove the basket to give a good shake.
Put basket back in and continue cooking for another 5-10 minutes.
Plate and season with more salt!
